About Us

The Civic Immune Response

In a crisis, we assume that strong leaders or government officials will step up to maintain order. Yet, the opposite is true. Government response is often bogged down in bureaucracy, late to the scene, and inefficient. In extreme cases, these “elites” panic and make the situation worse. Thus the average citizen steps up to fulfill the role.

Citizens like you. It is an innate civic immune response. The community steps up to organize food kitchens, to clear rubble, to set-up field hospitals. No matter what the crisis, you can be involved with if you have the right skills

So the next time there’s a crisis in your community, will you be prepared?

For the People Academy is here for you, your loved ones, and your community. We offer a variety of classes from suicide intervention to self-defense. We want you to be able to perform CPR on a family member going into cardiac arrest, to pull a stuck car out of a ditch using a z-drag, and support a friend having emotional issues. With our training, you can be your own hero.

In essence, we want to create reliable neighbors and better friends. We’re good people, your people.

Good People, Your People

For the People Academy believes that everyone no matter their background, skin color, or sexuality, should be treated with respect and have access to skilled, knowledgeable teachers who actually teach, not just lecture.
